Apple makes changes iPhone policy

Apple changed its rules so you can fix your iPhone with second-hand parts, according to Life Hacker. They shared that Apple made an announcement on Thursday saying that for certain phone models, you can now repair your device with real used parts and it will still work perfectly.

Before, Apple only let you use brand-new parts for fixing your iPhone. But now, they’ve changed the rules!

You don’t even need to give them your iPhone’s serial number to get the parts anymore. This means that repair shops nearby can keep lots of parts in stock, so whenever you need a fix, they’re ready for you.

And it’s not just for the outside stuff like screens and batteries. Even the inside parts like cameras are covered by this new policy.

To make sure your iPhone stays safe, Apple’s also added a feature called Activation Lock to the spare parts. So, if someone tries to use a stolen part on their iPhone, it won’t work properly.

Apple’s big boss, John Ternus, says they’re excited to give customers more choices and make fixing iPhones easier. Plus, it helps keep their products going for longer.
